Micah Hunt started his career in the Healthcare industry as an EMT-Basic working for a private Medical Transport company. Through his time there was able to get first hand experience of all the different types of facilities and communities in the local area and other states as well. He was promoted to Public Relations Coordinator, Lt. of Operations, and Marketing and PR Manager for the Medical Transport company.

From there he worked as a Director of Admissions for a Skilled Nursing Facility and was able to get a better understanding of how Medicare and Medicaid works in the nursing and rehab setting. Then, onto work for New Dawn Memory Care in Williamsburg and Richmond as their Director of Business Development of VA. Finally ending up with Senior Advocate as their Vice President of Marketing.

Through these different work experiences, he has been able to see the benefits of utilizing Social Media in these different companies. Most effectively through the Assisted Living/Memory Care and a Senior Living Magazine. The amount of responses and participation from Social Media has proven that you can benefit from these avenues to both build your brand and to potentially attract new clients. The use of Social Media is an underused avenue for Healthcare Professionals and communities to really utilize to grow their reach.
