Melissa Locke is the Vice President of Human Resources serving Independent Healthcare Properties & Morning Pointe Senior Living. Locke has over twenty years of experience and oversees the full scope of human resources for corporate staff and 27 Morning Pointe Senior Living communities across TN, AL, GA, KY & IN.
Locke specializes in human resources employment law and in management development. She is also a professional facilitator, speaker, trainer, and writer. Prior to her employment with IHP, Locke worked for Life Care Home Health Inc., Georgia-Pacific, State of TN Department of Labor & Workforce Development and Hardwick Clothes concentrating in the field of human resources. She has worked as an HR director, coordinator, training manager, and organization development consultant.
Locke is a graduate of Bryan College with a BS degree in Business Administration Organizational Management. She is also a Global Career Development Facilitator (CDF) certified through the Center for Credentialing and Education, Inc. (CCE), a subsidiary of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). She is certified as a Parenting & Consumer Education Facilitator (UT Extension).
In conjunction with her career responsibilities, Locke is an active participant in the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk & Relay for Life. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Chattanooga Chapter.
